Web Design
Web design is the process of creating a visually appealing but useful tool that reflects the aims and ideas of the organisation or company. As well as this, web design involves the integration of applications that make information, contact and ordering incedibly simple and easy-to-use by both the user and owner.
I work in the coding languages PHP and Python on the server, using JavaScript and CSS3 in the browser. As you’ll see from my portfolio I have a wide experience in developing all sorts of different sites – from large data operations essential to a businesses internal functions, to simple brochure sites that will advertise you in a way that matches your enterprise. I have knowledge of both simple and more complex APIs that can set your site off nicely, for instance the integration of Google Maps or Tweetmeme. I’m also experienced in user management, including OAuth. I use the latest industry security technologies, and can integrate your site with Twitter and Facebook Connect for cutting-edge user engagement.
I charge between £17 and £25 an hour for web design services, or we might be able to negotiate a fixed price for your project. Adding in services such as search engine optimisation and mobile web is easier and cheaper to do now as retro-fitting a site takes longer. Contact me to find out what I can do for your project.
